Official biography

Erika Ashley, BFA, MA, is an award-winning influencer and digital marketing strategist, PR maven, and talent manager for influencers. She's a TEDx speaker, consultant, published author, and writer.

Erika's first paid digital gig in 2005 was as a Myspace layout designer and website designer, back when Internet Explorer was still everyone's preferred browser and flying toaster cursors were all the rage.

Although she's been freelancing since the mid-2000s, Erika founded her business in 2015 while partially bedridden waiting for a left hip replacement, which forced her to quit her job as a PR and Advocacy Coordinator for a Toronto-based funding coalition. Prior to this, she worked in the journalism, arts not-for-profit, educational, and marketing spaces.

Erika's clients have included Grammy-winning bands, A-list celebrities, lifestyle entrepreneurs, and digital influencers. She's a contributor to Forbes, Thrive Global, MindBodyGreen, Influencive, Social Media Today, and Addicted2Success and been featured in major media including Forbes, BBC, Brit + Co., Martha Stewart Weddings, Nylon, Bustle, and Health.

Erika's passionate about ending the wage gap for women, focusing specifically on how trauma and socialization put women at a disadvantage before they ever write their first CV. When she's not working with clients, traveling the world as a speaker and consultant, or contributing to publications, she's probably trying a new liquid lipstick or watching RuPaul's Drag Race.
